ON THE ROAD WITH JENDSEY: Haley Megan Dempsey needs to talk
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We’re headed down I-75 toward Plant City, Florida for Sir Henry’s haunted trail, we’ve got road noise, we’re wide awake, and we’re doing a bonus episode that turns unexpectedly heavy. Jesse brings a recent true crime case involving Haley Megan Dempsey, and as we read through the timeline together, it becomes painfully clear that the real subject isn’t “spooky season” at all. It’s postpartum psychosis, how fast it can escalate, and how little most people are taught to recognize it as a medical emergency.
We talk through what postpartum psychosis can look like in real life: delusions, intense paranoia, dissociation, and a terrifying break from reality that is not the same as postpartum depression. In this story, a conflict over pornography, strict religious beliefs, and a spiraling mental health crisis collide with something that makes every bad outcome more likely: easy access to a gun in the home. Ring doorbell footage and reported timestamps create a chilling trail through a quiet neighborhood, and we also discuss the wreckage left behind for family members and the wider community.
We don’t end with shock value. We end with options. We share concrete maternal mental health resources you can save right now, including the National Maternal Mental Health Hotline (1-833-TLC-MAMA), Postpartum Support International, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, and the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741). If you’ve ever felt alone after childbirth or worried about someone who is, this conversation is for you. Subscribe, share this with one person who needs it, and leave us a review. What’s one warning sign of postpartum mental health crisis you want more people to take seriously?

Road Trip Bonus Episode Setup
SPEAKER_01Hey Jesse. Hey Lindsay. And hey, listeners. So hey, we're doing something a little different today. This will be a bonus episode coming to you on Wednesday. So Jesse and I are traveling from our home in Lake City. We're going down to a haunted trail in Plant City, Florida, called Sir Henry's, correct? Yes. And Jesse found a true crime story that happened in Plant City. Now I lived in Lakeland the first few years of my life. Well, I was born in Lake City. Then I moved to Lakeland when my uh birth mother and father split.
SPEAKER_00And that's pretty close to Plant City, right?
SPEAKER_01Yes, oh yeah. Yeah, right around the corner. And like, I mean, Plant City was literally like our other little hangout spot. We went to the strawberry festival there, which is what Plant City is known for. Fucking if you want good Well, first of all, if you want good strawberries, go to your local produce mart and find Plant City strawberries because they're gonna be top-notch. Okay, yeah. I've never been to the strawberry festival. Well, I would I went when I was younger and it was really freaking cool. And um, and they usually have like concerts and you know different uh popular music artists like like one year. And Loretta Lynn, we were we were thinking about going the year that Roletta uh Loretta Lynn was there before she passed. And um we just didn't make it down.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember why, but so you're getting road noise because we're on high 75.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so we are literally recording this podcast, driving down to Plant City. We just had a delicious meal. If you're local to Ocala or in the area, go and have you a good dinner at Tony's sushi. My God.
SPEAKER_00It's the two delicious. Tony's is the two.
SPEAKER_01Tony's is the 10. Yes. My bestie Cindy introduced me to it years ago, and I didn't make it back for a long time, and I kept telling Jesse, I want to go to Tony Sushi, Tony Sushi, Tony Sushi. And then our first Spucala event, which is now Scaradice, which we just went to a couple weeks ago. So we went to Spucala, and then we had Tony Sushi afterwards, and it was so good.
SPEAKER_00So good.
SPEAKER_01And then we just had it right now.
SPEAKER_00And we've been listening to 50s music, so when you say so good, so good.
SPEAKER_01So good. I got you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_01So Jesse found this story. I did not do any research for this story, but he pulled several sources together and comprised a little a little story for me to read here. And I have overviewed it, and it's not good.
SPEAKER_00I mean, but that is not gonna be good.
SPEAKER_01That is what we do if this is your first time listening to us. So we I tell I I usually research and tell Jesse about a true crime story, and uh, we have a couple of drinks, and then at the end of the episode, Jesse plugs a band. But this is a little bonus episode. So we're just this is on the road. Jesse and Lindsay. On the road, on the road, and we're not drunk. So we're not drinking, we're not drunk, we are driving.
SPEAKER_00So normally we do. Normally we're at home and we partake.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, so make sure you check out this coming Fridays because it's gonna be interesting. Because I actually had I usually I'm drinking, I'm usually the seltzer girl, but I drank some liquor. I drink some liquor.
SPEAKER_00It was a fun one. You're you're gonna have to fucking wait for that one. It's gonna be amazing.
SPEAKER_01Yes, we uh we I I I made myself a couple of martinis during the coverage on Friday's episode, and it gets interesting. Terrible story.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but it was a good times, let's see. It was a good times. So you're gonna have fun. This Friday, yes, you're gonna have fun.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, we recorded that last night, and it was yeah, it was a wild, wild, wild times. We were um uh empty nesters for a little bit for a few hours.
SPEAKER_00We had fun, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So we're gonna get started on this story that Jesse has brought to my attention that happened in Plant City, Florida.
Introducing The Dempsey Case
SPEAKER_01So this is the story of Haley Megan Dempsey, and this was is a very recent story. It happened on May 3rd, 2026, this year, not that long ago. Okay. Haley Dempsey was married to a man named Jay Dempsey, and they got married when Haley was in her early 20s, and it seemed like they had the same uh religious beliefs, they had the same, you know, they were, it seems like what I've overviewed this case so far, um, it looks like they were of the Christian faith, and they had the same values, they were, you know, pretty conservative, from what I can tell so far. Because I've literally just overviewed this, okay. Now Haley would go on to have two daughters. She, and at the time of the of this story, uh one of her daughters was four years old and one was four months old. Okay.
Postpartum Psychosis Explained
SPEAKER_01Now it seems that Haley, after her second child, really went into postpartum psychosis.
SPEAKER_00Isn't that a good idea? Similar to what just um to a certain extent. It does happen a lot.
SPEAKER_01No, actually, it doesn't. It's very rare.
SPEAKER_00Oh, really?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that postpartum depression.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's a lot in our talks, it does happen.
SPEAKER_01Postpartum depression is very common. Oh, okay. But postpartum psychosis is very rare. And this actually affects one to two out of every thousand deliveries.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01So one to two people out of a thousand, okay?
SPEAKER_00So yeah, or or that being used as a true crime uh uh defense. We have heard that a bunch. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Um, and so unlike so part postpartum depression, uh a lot of our, you know, our client our um demographic is women that listens to this, so y'all will understand what postpartum depression is. That's usually pretty common. I mean, that thing that's happens to pretty much every woman. I know I had it with every single birth, okay? But postpartum psychosis, this makes you delusional, literally. Like you'll you can have hallucinations and intense paranoia.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_01Now for Haley, the paranoia began to latch on to her marriage. By April 2026, her psychosis kind of reached a boiling point. Haley discovered pornography on one of her husband's phones. Because of her deeply held religious convictions, she viewed this not just as mar uh like a marital dispute, but as a profound betrayal. And this was this was complete, this was like infidelity to her.
SPEAKER_00Right. Like basically you just caught him cheating. I mean, full on.
SPEAKER_01Right, right, right. And she became convinced that tracking devices have been secretly planted in her car.
SPEAKER_00So, on top of all that, now she has the postpartum and all the things that's gonna be.
SPEAKER_01She's got the psychosis, yeah. She's got the pure paranoia out and everything.
SPEAKER_00It's delivered her into a complete psychosis state where everything's against her, and she feels like she's trapped and being watched at the same time.
SPEAKER_01Now, her mother, from what I can tell so far in this uh overview that I'm reading here, a mother came to stay with her, maybe as um some type of help. And her mother's name was Valerie Dubeau, and it said that Valerie was Haley's rock. They were incredibly close, um, and they shared a life built around their shared faith. But something happened with this psychosis that she was going through, and her mom was, you know, was like, there's something more than just baby blues going on here, okay. In April of 2026, it was just it was at its height, okay?
Domestic Dispute And Police Visit
SPEAKER_01And everything started on May 1st, which was a Friday. Uh, the plant city police were called to the Dempsey home on North Burton Street for a domestic dispute over the phones, over the pornography found in the phone, okay? Yeah. No physical violence had occurred, but the tension was super thick. And Haley's mother came down around that time to pick her daughter up. Well, that night, Haley and her mother and her three kids. Oh, I'm sorry, she had three kids. She had two girls and one boy. They went to a hotel room. And Haley even asked the police to search her car for trackers because she was convinced that there was trackers in her car. Right, I'm not sure. And the police did that.
SPEAKER_00She had been, she felt like she was being betrayed. Yeah, she's been betrayed by her husband.
SPEAKER_01Everything is just and she felt like she was being falling apart. Yeah. She is not having a good time.
SPEAKER_00Not good.
SPEAKER_01And this is postpartum psychosis. I mean, as all of you guys, I'm sure have heard about the Lindsay Clancy ordeal, and we're going to cover that more in the future. Once everything is all said and done, uh, we will I will go deep into that. And U Jesse and I will probably have a huge discussion about that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, clarity and understanding. I am not, I don't understand yet, but I need to fill out all the parts on it. It's going to be an adventure. Believe me, it's going to be an adventure.
SPEAKER_01I'm sorry, I'm a little uh geeked up. I'm I'm having some watermelon uh Celsius right now. To stay nice and awake, okay?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because she's gonna get her pants scared off. In Plan City. Her pants are gone in the plants.
SPEAKER_01Well, on Saturday, May 2nd, police escorted Haley back to the house to gather more clothes. Her husband, which was who's Jay, his name is Jay, he left to stay over with a friend in Lakeland, told you it was very close. Boom. Yeah. To de-escalate the situation. Now, Valerie, her mom, stayed behind in the house, uh, you know, to support her daughter through the weekend. And it seemed like a temporary situ uh, you know, separation to let heads cool, to let everybody cool off and hopefully, you know, kind of talk some sense into Haley, it seems like. Because whereas, yeah, you can be mad about porn on your husband's phone, but this isn't full-on cheating. This isn't, you know, technically an affair. And there was no trafficking devices in her vehicle.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's still shitty, but at the same time, a good conversation should have been able to brought that out, you know? Just like, hey, we need understanding and a conversation that this should not be something that goes on because I'm not uncomfortable with it, you know. Right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01And uh it has to be said too that Jay, he liked he's he's a firearm guy, he's a gun guy. Oh and he had he had quite a bit of them in the household, okay? So remember that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, guns for Jesus. We're gonna really just gather up all the weapons for the end of the world when Jesus comes.
SPEAKER_01Well, it seems like that instead of Haley like chilling out and calming down and coming to the realization that it wasn't as serious as she thought it was, it actually got worse for her. The paranoia escalated.
SPEAKER_00The snowball effect just kept on growing, yeah.
Violence Inside The Home
SPEAKER_01So on Sunday, May 3rd, sometime before 5 30 a.m., inside the house on North Burton Street, Haley, she got one of those guns in her possession. She got one of Jay's guns.
SPEAKER_00I mean, I I brought this upon you. I know. I don't know all the parts. I just I was like, you know what? I just wanted to find a real big true crime story where we're going to. And I I I don't know all the parts. So what?
SPEAKER_01She walked right up to her mom, Valerie, and shot her in the head.
SPEAKER_00Fucking hell, Lindsay.
SPEAKER_01What do you mean, fucking hell, Lindsay? This is Jesse's story that I'm reading.
SPEAKER_00But I didn't read it. I didn't read it, y'all. I did not read this.
SPEAKER_01Fucking hell though. And then this isn't it, okay? So ring doorbell cameras will will capture what happens next. At 5 35 a.m., Haley walked out of the front door. She had nothing on her, no money, no cell phone, no, you know, none of her credentials, but she had the gun, and she had her three kids walking beside her. On the security footage, you can hear the kids crying uh as they go down the street on uh West West Sanders Street. For over an hour, Haley walked her children through the neighborhood in a day. She's in a complete daze, she's out of it.
SPEAKER_00So what she did, she's just in a whole different plane of existence.
SPEAKER_01She is completely um in a what's the word that I'm looking for because I go through it all the time. She is disassociated from reality.
SPEAKER_00Full-on, just nothing, just she's floating around in a daze, yes.
SPEAKER_01And she actually goes to uh to a neighbor's door and starts asking for help. Now, the neighbor went to grab their partner to see, you know, hey, this girl's at the door, but when the uh the person came back, Haley and the kids had vanished, and they were, you know, because it's still dark. It's 5.35. Now, Haley's wondering was, like I said, it was captured on several ring cameras. This overview says was her trail went cold until 6.51 a.m. when they uh when uh when her and the kids disappeared near West Trevor Street. Six minutes later at 6.57 a.m., I nearby recorded the sound of four distinct gunshots.
SPEAKER_00I am trying to drive right now, Lindsay. I'm trying to drive.
SPEAKER_01I can't blame nobody but you right now. This is fucking horrible. I was like, Jesse, are you sure you want me to tell this story?
SPEAKER_00But I'm trying to drive, you know, this is our first time doing this shit. And you're you're dumping this on me, and I'm trying to fucking drive. Lindsay. I dumped this on me, actually. I did, didn't I? Lord, I apologize for that to ever be with the starving pigmies down here in New Guinea. Thank you. Oh, but still, like So I'm I lied.
SPEAKER_01Okay, so
Ring Cameras And The Final Hour
SPEAKER_01I read that wrong. She had three daughters one four years old, one two years old, and four-month-old baby, okay.
SPEAKER_00What the fuck?
SPEAKER_01So she fatally shot the four-month-old and the four-year-old. She pulled the trigger on her two-year-old daughter, but she missed. And then she turned the gun on herself. Oh my god. I hope. Oh my god, I hope that little baby girl that survived. Oh, I hope she never remembers any of this.
SPEAKER_00This is wrong.
SPEAKER_01Like we're both discovering this together, right?
SPEAKER_00I brought this upon myself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. I'm kicking my own ass. I'm kicking my own ass right now. Now at 7:45, or excuse me, 7.05 a.m., one of the neighbors called 911 here the after they heard the gunshots. When the first officer arrived on West Trevor Street, they found the scene. Like, and it was this one officer says in his 34 years, he's never seen anything so horrible in his life.
unknownDamn it.
SPEAKER_01So Haley was dead, and beside her laid the two oldest and youngest daughters, also gone. But the two-year-old had survived, and she had been waiting in the brush for nearly an hour.
SPEAKER_00Just waiting right there by her mama, and not knowing what the hell fucking happened. Oh my heart.
SPEAKER_01I'm gonna cry. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Oh, it's a fucking oh, Lindsay.
SPEAKER_01Now, of course, they went, you know, it's they went straight to Jay because, you know, they are supposed to, you're always they're always supposed to investigate the spouse, roommate, whoever they're living with at the time immediately. But he was cleared. Um, his cell phone data and highway cameras placed him miles away uh driving back from Lakeland at the exact moment when this happened. Like he was coming back, he was on I-4, and this tragedy has just absolutely shattered the community that she l, you know, this this street, the whole area, Planned City was fucking devastated over this. Yeah.
Aftermath And Why Awareness Matters
SPEAKER_01And postpartum psychosis needs to talk be talked about way more. And if we single-handedly have to talk about it until we're blue in the face, now this is the second case this year that we've talked about.
SPEAKER_00Right, and here we are, right? Here we are. So the awareness and everything, and us sharing what we do and what you know, this oh my god, it's so horrific. The awareness, that's that's where we're here, that's why we're here. Yes.
SPEAKER_01So, I mean, in this psychosis, she killed her mother, two daughters, tried to kill all three, and herself over her husband having porn on his phone. You know what I mean? Like a rational person, yeah, you're gonna get mad, you're gonna get upset, especially if you are under religious psychosis, which is what I call that. Especially under the I mean, even if you're not, you know, you're still gonna be like, well, why are you why are you, you know, watching it? It's not to me, that would not render me so angry that I'm gonna leave you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but I feel like a good conversation and another conversation respect, like it's a night out hate. It's I feel like you're crossing some lines here.
SPEAKER_01Right. And let's let's go out to dinner, let's figure out what we need to do in our marriage, to eliminate.
SPEAKER_00Ultimately, you feel like you're less of a person when somebody else is is reaching out for something more attractive or whatever to get.
SPEAKER_01It may not even be that. That just may be their way. She just had a baby. Yeah. She baby's four months old, their sex life was probably uh meager compared to what it had been because she just had a baby. Um, and you're not even supposed to do anything for six weeks after you give birth. And then you've got exhaustion. This is her third, she was had her third child.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but not to justify his his intentions.
SPEAKER_01No, what I'm saying is maybe that was just his outlet without offending her because Yeah, it is it was it was more minor than that.
SPEAKER_00And like I said, I'm not probably more minor than what it what it became.
SPEAKER_01I don't I don't ever really like to be on the man's side of anything, but that could have just been his way of you know getting off without trying to bother her while she's healing and going through this. But obviously, there was a lot more going on mentally with her that should have been addressed.
SPEAKER_00Either way, though, is a communication problem. Yes, yeah, absolutely because like you want to have those conversations with your wife and find out where she's at and then where he's supposed to be, like, you know, maybe.
SPEAKER_01Well, if they're super religious under religious psychosis, maybe they're not talking about it.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah, because yeah, it's tabooed like them to bring that up. And they're probably all the time.
SPEAKER_01They're just praying about it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I just prayed about this, and I'm gonna look at Pornhub.
SPEAKER_01And her mental her mental health crisis was probably not being talked about either because let's just go to church on Sunday and pray harder about it. Like it's get the pastor to lay her hands on you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Or, you know, and or communication and prayer could happen together, and then those should have still been talked about in that situation.
SPEAKER_01Right, and I've because I've been in that community, I know what that's like, and it mental health and sex lives are not really discussed among your peers in the church.
SPEAKER_00Right, which is weird because okay, maybe not maybe not in church. Fucking Micah Miller's husband was talking about that shit, though. Yeah, yeah, goddamn, he was. And then, like, okay, but like in a household in a married situation, you should be able to pray together. If if you want to participate in that religion, pray together. That's your that there is your therapy. Well, that's there is your you know, my parents did that.
SPEAKER_01But I'm sorry to tell you, prayer does not fix everything. You've got to go see people and get medicine for certain things, like postpartum psychosis. You gotta go. You gotta go get that shit figured out.
SPEAKER_00But your therapists are things like this happen. Your therapist and the belief could be way healthier if you prayed together and then use that as a therapy.
SPEAKER_01There you go.
SPEAKER_00You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01That's where postpartum psychosis is is absolutely terrifying. Like that's a fear that I never knew I needed to unlock. Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it is. This is really blowing up and needs to be talked about more.
SPEAKER_01Because maybe it's not just every one or two and one thousand anymore.
SPEAKER_00No. Well, I mean, there's a whole different mindset, and when it comes to generational things and our entertainment and our way of life, and what we have, literally. In our hands 60% of the time, there's a whole different mind process than what it was twenty years ago.
SPEAKER_01And Haley was only 27 years old. Her mother was only 55.
SPEAKER_00And just happened this year.
SPEAKER_01Just happened this year.
SPEAKER_00What a rough fucking situation.
SPEAKER_01And I mean, and you know, like now Jay ha is um obviously a single parent now, raising, you know, a two-year-old, and probably has to live with absolute horrific guilt every day because he had the shit on his phone that set her off.
SPEAKER_00You know? Yeah. And yeah, he's ultimately gonna hold all that. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01And now he's you know, he's lost his mother-in-law and and two children and wife all in one day over something that should have been addressed and taken care of. Yeah. Now it okay, so one police report really quick did say that there had been prior domestic disputes.
SPEAKER_00Oh, so they were having trouble. Oh, yeah, I just found that in the police covered.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and it might, yeah. And like I said, Jesse just kind of just threw this in my lap and I'm reading to you.
SPEAKER_00I threw it in my own lap, dude. I'm getting me. Yeah. I thought I was gonna get you with this one, Lindsay, but no. I'm getting me.
SPEAKER_01Shit. I'm just I'm like, I'm taking deep breaths because I am just you're gathering everything all in one.
SPEAKER_00It's it's a big steam pole. Fucking just it is rough.
SPEAKER_01And for, you know, an officer of 34 years to say that this was the worst thing that he had ever come upon. That's just that's big, you
Sources And Where To Learn More
SPEAKER_01know? Ooh, okay, so um just a few sources that you can look at that are in this um this overview here. So you can find on YouTube uh WFLA News Channel 8, what happened to the Dempsey family? Uh, there's a story on Instagram Plant City woman shot and killed her mother and two children. That's the headline. Um, and then Plant City Quadruple Killings ruled murder suicide by police on YouTube, and that was from um channel 10, Tampa Bay News. So those are some resources, but I am going to look up some resources. If you or somebody you know is going through postpartum psychosis or you just are going through postpartum depression, period. I mean, I'm sure, I mean, I know that there's like better help and there's things like that, but I'm gonna look up so resources, help some hotlines. Uh, these are 24-7. So National Maternal Health Hotline.
Hotlines And Support Resources
SPEAKER_01You can call or text 1833 TLC Mama, which is 1833-852-6262, and this is all for free. And uh, this is confidential support from counselors before, during, and after pregnancy. And I swear to God, I wish I'd have known about this. Because you don't know that you're going through it until you look back and you're like, God damn, I was going through it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and right here, right now, this is the awareness that we're sharing. The doors are wide open. Hell, hit us up at drinkaboutsomething.site. We'll be here. Yes, and we'll help you. Yeah, we'll send you all of this. Send somebody our. We'll talk to you. Call me.
SPEAKER_01Message me and I'll give you my number. We'll talk.
SPEAKER_00Not that I, I mean, I'm a man, but at the same time, I'll give you my best insight and thoughts too. Not, you know, not that it's all it's usually I'm drunk when I'm doing it, but still.
SPEAKER_01So, okay, let me, okay, so there's some more. All right, so postpartum support international or PSI. Um, you can call 1-800-944-4773 or text HELP to 800-944-4773. And then, so there is 988-Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. You can call or text 988 if you are experiencing a mental health distress, emotional crisis, or thoughts of self-harm. And then National Crisis Text line is uh, so you text home, the the word home to 741-741, and that will connect you with a crisis council.
SPEAKER_00That's the better one. Yeah. That one right there. 741-741. Just text help, right? Yes. So there you go. And then the avenues are here, and this is fucking horrific. I'm horrified, Jesse.
SPEAKER_01Why? My God, we're going down to have a good time.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but like, okay, but this is what we need to do. We need to do this. And if you guys want to help share and support all of this awareness, you can always just get on drinkaboutsometh.site. Or you can check out any of our social.
SPEAKER_01Hey, you know what we could do? Start uh putting that last one that we did, the text at what was it, help to 741-741 in our show notes.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, for sure.
SPEAKER_01Absolutely. That would be a good idea. That way we keep the awareness going. And I do want to also plug this really quick, and I'm also going to do it on next week's episode.
Day For Daniel And Child Safety
SPEAKER_01Um, you guys, Day for Daniel. We talked about Daniel uh Morcom and what happened to him. Day for Daniel, honoring Daniel Morcom is on October 30th this year, which is Friday before Halloween. And this was so this was our episode 84, and this was about a young boy who was abducted, just trying to go find some Christmas presents for his family.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. What another fucking horse kill me.
SPEAKER_01Who was responsible for his death wasn't discovered for a very long time. So, in the meantime, searching for his killer, Daniel's parents put together the Daniel Morkin Foundation, which raises awareness for children to be able to navigate their way through Stranger Danger, basically. Right. Yeah because Daniel was just waiting for a bus to go into town. This was a story, this was this happened in Australia. And Daniel just said no. He thought he was just getting a ride from a nice person to get him to the mall to buy presents for his family. And the Daniel Morkham Foundation is a wonderful foundation. Jesse and I have donated to it. You can look it up. Uh, Daniel Morkham Foundation.com. Donate right there and and remember Daniel Morkham on October 30th this year. We're gonna post about it on our socials and probably repost that episode to keep awareness alive because we gotta stop hurting kids, man. We gotta, we gotta, it's gotta end.
SPEAKER_00But the doors are open on this one.
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00You know, do do what you need to do, send them our way. If you need to share, subscribe, like, and all the stuff, but at the same time, we're here.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we are not healthcare professionals by any means, but what we will talk to you and we will help you find any resources. Um, you know, we're just putting that out there just to be some kind of, you know, uh, we're reaching out a hand.
SPEAKER_00And if there's any positive impact that we can lay on this world, four kids, yeah. And yeah, you've been there. It's been a struggle. And you know, outside perspective, I can I can put in my two cents as well. So we're here for for that. We're definitely here for all of that.
SPEAKER_01Yes. I know it it it is just probably not likely that these tragedies will ever end, but maybe they can slow down if people know who they can reach out to. And if family members can spot the signs of their, you know, new mother going through going through something like this. Maybe they can spot the signs and be like, hey, I really think that you need some extra help. I'm here to talk to you. What's going on in your head? Let's go take care of this. Let's get you the resources that you need to navigate your way through this because it's not easy. It's not easy at all. No, and a tragedy, I mean, that's five deaths in one day. Yeah, you know?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's just completely horrible.
SPEAKER_01Four, excuse me. Almost five. Four. Yeah, almost five.
SPEAKER_00It's just completely horrible. You know, pay attention to the signs in in life. I'm so in society, in relationships, and just your household. Pay attention to the signs. The awareness is here. We're we're here to spread that and share it, and we're also here to support anybody that may just need that little, you know, little boost of whatever you might need in conversation or whatever you may need. I'm I'm here. I'm we're both definitely fully here. And you can check us out on all the socials and do all the things.

But if you want to follow us or you want to follow me on TikTok, um drinkabout something under drinkabout something pod underscore Lindsay on TikTok. And like I said, we do sporadic lives. Um, we've even let our our youngin' play guitar on there. We've done all kinds of cool shit. And where are we at on YouTube?
SPEAKER_00Just type in Gen Z, J-E-N-D-S-E-Y, on YouTube. Everybody has the app. You can come see some videos and some cool stuff on there.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, we've done some adventuring.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and like some of our past podcasts, we've had celebrities and we've had guests, and we're looking for a cool guest to join us, so just hit us up. If you have a cool story, share it our way. And we're just doing something new right here down I-75, and I think we're gonna keep doing this if you send some feedback. I would love that. I mean, that would be really cool.
SPEAKER_01I know. I wish we'd have thought about doing this when we were in New England. That would have been because I actually had stories for almost everywhere that we went. There's been true crime in each one of these.
SPEAKER_00We were listening to true crime on our on our trips and ventures, but like now let's just do true crime. So, and I think this is probably we're probably one of the first forefronted podcasters to do this story about what you just talked about. So, and sharing. It was not a good time. It's not a good time, but it never is.
SPEAKER_01The awareness of postpartum psychosis needs to be broadcasted. I mean, we just saw what happened to Lindsay Clancy and her children, and now you know, Haley Dempsey and her children. Let's keep, let's let's raise this up, let's make this a household topic so it anybody that's going through this can feel comfortable to go get help.
SPEAKER_00Yes, let's give them avenues before this horrific thing happens.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_00Like all those horrific things happen, happening, you know, right now.
SPEAKER_01I mean, because postpartum depression by itself is bad enough. Then you add in psychosis where you're you're delusional and experiencing paranoia and illusions, that's gotta be terrifying.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, it is, and when you feel like you're backed in a corner and then you put the religion and all the psychosis into it, it can be huge.
SPEAKER_01One of my coworkers right now has really been going through postpartum pretty, pretty bad. And I've tried to keep her. Let's let's talk about it. Reach out to me, reach out to me if you need to. I'll help you through anything. I know it's rough. Uh, like I said, I had postpartum depression after every single child that I birthed, and it was not a good time. It's not a good time, period.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and sometimes just in your situation, you're in you're in a spot where you have no help, no support, no one to talk to, no one will hear you. And you you need that avenue. You need it. Everyone needs to be able to vent and you know find something positive to keep building and striving toward all the good things in life. So that's a rough one. Damn, Lindsay. I'm Jesse. I fucked me. I fucked me hard. Still. I mean, oh I'm just trying to like make light of it. I'm driving right now through my favorite part of Florida.
Sir Henry’s Plans And Sign Off
SPEAKER_01Yes, we got about 45 minutes left till we get to our destination, but we're gonna stop and get some gas and all the things, and then go and check out Sir Henry's, and hopefully it's a good time. Yeah, we'll leave reviews. Manifesting. It's a good time.
SPEAKER_00We're gonna leave reviews, dude. I've seen the opening ceremony, that's where we're going to go check out to begin with, and then we're gonna be the first ones on base for all of their craziness. And I'm ready.
